About this parkrun
So recommended! Starting on the beach (though other days they run it the other way round) sand is hard work to run on, but then onto the promenade before turning round and round running back on hard grass/trail. Easy parking, I wore light trail shoestwinny 28th Dec 2018
Beach start, then up and along the prom, finishing on the grass. Watch out for rabbit holes in the last km. Lovely location, wind can be an issue!!

At first sight, sharing a parkrun course with a hundred sturdy men of iron suggests possible overcrowding but relax: the course is flat, wide and forgiving, without concrete or tarmac and the weather comes with refreshing breezes - or gales!

A gorgeous, friendly event. I hear the course can change depending on the weather but we did sand, tarmac and grass. Quite tough course but my favourite parkrun out of the 32 different events I've done.

Out and back run. Right on the coast, run on prom/behind the dunes/on the beach (changes depending on tides I believe). Mix of grass/tarmac/sand. Quite exposed but great views. Plenty of parking in the area.

Great parkrun with Antony Gormley's iron men for company on Crosby beach. One of them is a Marshall known as Bing! We ran along the beach and back then up onto the prom and along the grass for an excellent parkrun.

Car park at start with cafe and toilets in sports centre. Starting on sand, running past iron men, up steps along prom and back along another path and grass to finish. Large wide paths, huge beach and lovely place to visit.
