About this parkrun
2 laps, mainly trail but some tarmac. Interesting undulating course with one or two short steeper sections.28th May 2019
Brilliant run packing lots into 5k - fields, woodland, the river, footpaths around pitch-and-put and some ruins, plus it's next to a car-park and there's a brilliant cafe on the river bank (which serves great coffee and gives Parkrunners a discount!)

The Saturday we done it the had been altered due to weather conditions the steep hill had been taken out and a extra loop thru a field had been added even so it was a great X country run.

Lovely varied route, 2 laps with different surfaces and woodland and riverbank to run along. Friendly team and large pay and display car park. Lovely area to visit.

Did the winter course, very muddy on the lap of the field, and a couple of decent climbs, if very wet conditions grippy shoes recommended for the muddy field laps

First part is on tarmac paths and then over the river to the trails which can be muddy after rain. There is some short hills to overcome but nothing too bad for seasoned runners.

Quite hard work for someone who doesn’t do hills! But a beautiful course and definitely not boring. Will be back to this two lap multi terrain course 😊

Two interesting & scenic undulating laps , half on tarmac & trail paths , the other half over a bridge around grass fields at the other side of the river. Carpark with toilets close to the start finish area
