Cannock Chase parkrun

About this parkrun

A mix of tarmac & hard packed forest trails; one small then one big lap; mainly flat (26m elevation gain). Free parking on nearby roads, or a small pay & display near the finish. (Dec 2018)

Mostly old broken tarmac and some woodland paths. 2 lap course, one small then one large lap. A few hills, especially just before 4K, but not too big. Free parking at the roadside if you are early enough, or in nearby woodland car parks.

Mixture of packed trail and broken tarmac with a bit of mud when wet. Undulating terrain but nothing too challenging. Some nice views to be had throughout the seasons. Plenty of parking but can be a little walk away from the start line.

Good testing park run with the best cakes ever in the tea shop!
Started right at the back - took an age to get through people - was going to be a tootle round but that went to pot! lol

Deceptively challenging - should be quick given good paths and minimal elevation change (dry when I did it though I can imagine lots of mud in winter) but somehow isn't as fast as it should be. Get there early for the free parking

A mix of tarmac and other good paths, 1 small lap, 1 big lap. More ups than I expected including one going to the finish. Toilets and plenty of free parking on the roads (the car park is pay and display). Toilets before.
