ClaireT Oops, sorry to all those who bet (including myself), I was 14s off my PB. Should have nailed this one but I had a bad run struggling with heavy legs, never quite got into the zone. No obvious explanation, except perhaps the lack of sleep only 4-5 hours. If I hadn't been sitting in 3rd place I would have been tempted to drop out, but pushed on till the finish and held my position, so I'm pleased with that result.

SueW Aim is sub 80 minutes but I'm still about 2 minutes away. bet at your own peril! Update: Well, a pb of 45 seconds but still a bit away from 80 minutes! I had a good race and I'm pleased with the outcome, even finishing on the first page of theresults in 50th! I had a good negative split with the first half around 42 minutes and the second around 38 - give or take the seconds. I felt quite sluggish today on the hills. Glorious day to run in Arbroath and yet again a good day out. Well done the Footers for another great race. Thank you to betters. I'm not sure enough of the betting system so I hope that setting a pb got you points even if I didn't reach my target! Nice to see lots of Fetchies and RW people there today.

Debstir Great race if a bit tough - seem to be far more uphills in it than downhills! At least it never rained and the wind had died down to a breeze. Ran with 'debbo' and only at 8.5m we discovered we had been running trying to keep up with each other! Still, got 4 sub-9min/miles in the second half so pleased with that. Got a fab lazer-cut glass papaerweight at the end but still disappointed we never got wine in our goody bags this year!!
