According to the stats I’m on a run of 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3 which must be my best run ever. I wonder if it’s just been a block of easy words (easy being relative to your starter word of course!) |

Going back to the PARER day, this was my progression to getting it in 6. It was the only word I could make from the remaining letters. Looking at it I see I started with SAINT which turned out to be the actual word a couple of days ago. One day I will ace it. |

Looking at those guesses, I wonder whether BARED would ever come up. It seems to me, from the type of words that appear, that conjugated forms of verbs are unlikely to be used. So, for example, I would be very surprised if BARES was ever a solution and therefore I suspect that BARED is unlikely too. Thoughts?

I think you're right, Synge. And words like PARER derived from a shorter verb only feature if they're a recognised noun. RARER will appear at some point, by the way. |

I agree these type of words don’t come up in wordle/quordle/octordle which all seem to use the same basic list of potential answers. But dordle seems to use a different list and I’ve seen plurals and conjugated verbs on there.

RARER will appear at some point, by the way. seem to use the same basic list of potential answers. A couple of mentions of "the list" here ... I'm assuming it's out there and easy to find. Does anyone consult it when doing the daily wordle? |
