We do indeed take Wanda to the pub sometimes.....in fact our dog walker has commented that if her route goes past the village pub Wanda tries to drag her inside... I can't believe Wanda thinks that if we are not at home, then we must be in the pub :-o

We've taken Flossie to a cafe in Sidmouth several times. There's a sign saying Well Behaved Dogs Welcome in the window, and Floss just settles under our table.

I was a bit taken aback to see an extra sign underneath the original this weekend. It said 'This means they are welcome on the FLOOR and not on the chairs!' It's sad that people actually needed to be told that.

They love their dogs in Belgium and there are very few shops/restaurants/cafes where they are not welcome. It's not unusual to see dogs sat at the tables with their owners!

Leah had to be carefully trained to sit under tables in cafes and pubs and things. But once we got through to her that that was what was expected she stuck to it. She would then just go under our seat wherever we were including the very scary Windermere boat!

These one to one training sessions have been wonderful for training me, I think Bryony is learning much more quickly than I am but I am getting there. Its really helpful to have the trainer in my head when she isn't here but doing the right thing is going to take a while to become instinctive.

I'm confident you will get there D2, you're showing greater commitment than most dog owners already.

Oh D, that is hard. Any ideas why? Does she seem angry rather than just over excited? Sometimes it's hard to tell, I know. You both did SO well on the walk - that was a real achievement.

Hopefully she is just trying it on a bit D. You and the trainer have clearly shown her who is in charge and perhaps she's wondering what she can get away with.
