Oh, poor Cookie :( I hope it goes well, sure it will.

Biscuit's wound in his mouth is healing nicely and not infected :) Relieved as we were looking at the possibility of a scan under general anaesthetic in case there was a splinter in there, but for now there's no need. Back in 5 days for a check up.

We have come away for 6 nights and have forgotten the dogs loxicom. Have spoken to our vets today and they were happy to send a prescription to a vets near us, bit no one would do as apparently they need to have our dog on their books for 6 months before they can disperse a prescription. Poor Marvin is therefore left with no drugs until Thursday, unless we go home early.

Am really hoping the drugs will still be in his system for a few days.....

Bought a new machine washable rug to go by the back door instead of the door mat that we used to have there.

Been down 2 days. Arlo has chewed a hole in it. He never chewed the doormat. I'd only gone to the shop for half an hour. So much for being out of the destructive phase.

And that's ridiculous MM, surely if another vets is contacting them, that should be enough. Hope he is OK.

Can you use the prescription to buy online and pay for a fast track delivery, mandymoo? Or can your own vets post it next day delivery? I'm sure he'll be OK but I know it's not nice to be thinking he might get sore. I don't know how long loxicom takes to wear off. The horse equivalent is, in theory, quite short-lived in their system but the old horse could manage a few days without before she was obviously less comfortable.

I would ring your vets and ask if you can give aspirin for a few days. 5-10mg per lb of dog weight is about right but I would only do it if the vet says its okay. Baby aspirin are 80mg and normal adult aspirin are 300mg.

Vet should be able to advise if its appropriate although some will say it's poison!

I asked about aspirin but Marvin needs to be 3 days clear of loxicom before he can have, and then 3 days clear of aspirin before he can start loxicom again. Have been given the number of a small local vet to try tomorrow 🤞

LD told me to come here. We are getting a Cockapoo puppy who will be ready to come to us on the 29th. She comes from a great home, a retired couple who are licensed breeders. We’ve seen both the parents who are lovely dogs, a spaniel bitch and a poodle dog.

This is her last week

And this is her today

Oh my goodness, how cute. (ALL puppies are cute)

What size/variety of parents, Dio? Big difference between a Standard poodle and a mini one! Also an in between size if I remember correctly. Less variation with spaniles - but working cockers are diddy compared to Springers frinstance
