Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Anyone had issues with their dog eating grass?

Arlo has always eaten grass. He has a couple of times thrown grass up in the night but only a couple of times and wasn't loads. But he has just thrown up quite a big amount of it. He is still toileting allright, same as ever really, decent first couple of 💩s, then it gets a bit softer.

Will speak to the vet on Monday, just wondering if anyone else has had issues before.

Luna tends to eat a blade or two when out on a walk. My border collie used to eat tons of it when she felt unwell.

Some say its because they are missing something in their diet. With luna on raw with some veg she still has the odd blade or so.

I would hazard a guess he has some kind of tummy issue if he is eating a lot and throwing it up. Possibly acidic/bile tummy?

Does he go a while between meals? Empty stomach and bile may do it. Luna has been on 3 meals a day since she was ill which has stopped any bile issues.

Albie eats quite a bit of grass. He seems to like it.

No particular problems, except that sometimes he can’t manage to pass the blade of grass and I have to pull it out of his bum 🤢🙄
It’s a bit gross but I’ve kind of got used to it.

Phoebe has always liked mud and grass, no matter what we’ve fed her. But it sometimes ends up having to be helped out during a poo.
Cookie only seems to eat it when he wants to be sick.

Floss eats a bit of grass occasionally. If she eats too much she throws it up again. I don't expect it's anything to worry about Roberto.

Ollie also eats a lot of grass with no ill effects apart from the issue mentioned by PenW and Dave!

Wanda picks at grass in the garden and will sometimes eat it out on a walk although wearing a muzzle helps prevent that. And when she eats too much we also have the issue mentioned by PenW - although after years of experience I can confirm that generally if left it looks a bit horrible for a few minutes but human intervention isn't *always* necessary - I'll spare you the details of how I've become such an expert on the procedure though......

This was my card from son2 yesterday. I think there are a few people on this thread who might appreciate it too :-)
