It turned out to be a bit of twig stuck in the soft underfur. I treat him with anti-flea stuff monthly so it isn't normally an issue, but I was checking him for ticks at the same time as brushing him. Alabama Footrot is the big concern though so I do like to check Jet carefully.
He tolerates that, but I've never managed to get him to accept toothcare.

So............
On Saturday I'm going to a local country pursuits type event and within which there is a dog show..... I've never been to a dog show let alone taken part..... what's the worst that could happen?

D2 your Indi is a gorgeous specimen and you have worked so hard on the training. You'll know once you're there whether he can cope with excitement.
(I can only imagine just how much Ernie would show me up if we went to something like this. Not there quite yet)

Go in for the class 'Dog the judge would most like to take home' If Indi doesn't win it then the person judging clearly knows nothing about dogs....
