Oh - has anyone noticed on the medal (and ribbon) there's no specific date or year? Seems a bit rubbish to me - last year's had both the date and the year on it. Maybe it was a job lot and it means they can use more in the same batch next year...

Frobester, i'd noticed that this morning when I was comparing it ot last year's Rutland marathon medal. I'm thinking they might use the same medals at other races this year just with a different ribbon. I hope not.
The marshalls were lovely - true HG

I'm not a big fan of medals to be honest but I really like this one
I thought the marshals were brill and were so kind after I fell in full view of them. For me the whole event had a good feel factor.

Yeah, in all honesty good marshalling and friendly support pretty much negates any whinges about medals - as long as there is one!

I'm still gutted from lack of t-shirt
Think for the entry fee should have t-shirts

I guess the info on the website was a bit vague - you could infer that you'd either get a medal or a t-shirt. They probably need to tighten up a bit on that next year. Having said that, last year (it's all coming back to me now) I got a medal AND a t-shirt. I sent an email to the organisers this morning btw asking why there was no date on the medal...
