Time Outdoors has a large directory. It recently started demanding you sign up in order to see a race's details beyond the name, although these can always be found with a quick search online.

There's also individual race organizers, who don't always advertise widely or at least not where I look. Here in the southwest there's Freedom Racing, Purple Gecko, and Bys Vyken among others.

A single race directory would be wonderful but it would depend on people notifying it of races, which is kind of where we are now. More power to the OP if he thinks he has a way to improve this.

That seems a decent site, Shades. Just had a look round. Pity it lists the Lighthouse Marathon as St Ives Cambridgeshire though!

I know Fetch has a pretty comprehensive database of running events, but it still depends on member contributions. I tend to run track races (800m/1500m) and almost always have to add the event I'm running to the database myself because no one else on Fetch is doing it - and track races are notoriously tedious to find.
