I got promoted at work, outside of that, this year has been the worst of my life so far I’m not meaning to bring the nature of this thread down however, as the upside to that is it gives me hope that I can create a more positive year in 2024

I guess the key is to focus on the positives.

Ironically my lowest swimming year for 5 years in the year my mum drowns !

Taking the plunge in converting to electric car ownership.

I leased a Cupra Born from work in June. Sold my petrol car on Motorway.

Lovely car, but straight away was anxious about recharging it.

Getting a home charger has helped, but I'm still getting used to recharging it on long/overnight journeys.

I haven't got stranded yet :)

Successfully going off on my first bikepacking mini-trip. I will never be fast, but those two wheels have a whole wide world available to them.

And if you'd predicted that to me in 2020 I'd have died laughing...!

Finishing the year knowing I'll be starting a new role at work in the New Year. Bit of a change, going from admin to agricultural officer, but two pay grades above what I am now and the first admin at our office to ever successfully make this change in roles.

What single accomplishment in 2023 are you most proud of ?

Could be running ?

Could be getting a degree ? A promotion ? giving birth ?

Beating your sister at monopoly !

Personally running a sub 30 min parkrun with my Autistic son Owen was magical ;he now has 2 sub 30’s from 147 parkruns).
