If I can run a half marathon at 7.45 min mile therefore what should be my perceived marathon pace - 8.30 or 8.45 ish or quicker or slower??

Or, to put it another way, if you can do 1:41 for a half, you should do around 3:50 for a marathon, which is 8:47 per mile.

Too slow Proper training would mean anywhere 3.28 - 3.42. If I was your coach and you ran 3.50 off a 1.41 half I would be gutted. Of course this all counts on you doing the correct training. |

Tried to run 8.45 pace. Nearly fell asleep. And was still too quick. I am guessing closer to 8.25_8.30 pace

Bez - given your long runs needs to be 1.30 - 2 mins slower than this pace you better get use to it
