Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

If I can run a half marathon at 7.45 min mile therefore what should be my perceived marathon pace - 8.30 or 8.45 ish or quicker or slower??

Or, to put it another way, if you can do 1:41 for a half, you should do around 3:50 for a marathon, which is 8:47 per mile.

Too slow

Proper training would mean anywhere 3.28 - 3.42. If I was your coach and you ran 3.50 off a 1.41 half I would be gutted.

Of course this all counts on you doing the correct training.

Tried to run 8.45 pace. Nearly fell asleep. And was still too quick. I am guessing closer to 8.25_8.30 pace

Bez - given your long runs needs to be 1.30 - 2 mins slower than this pace you better get use to it

Interesting, Bez-head :)

How asleep did you fall during the 26.2-mile race at a little slower than 10mm pace that's in your training log for 6th October?
