I had occasion to dally in the stable-yard of a big house in the Herefordshire/Shropshire countryside for most of the Winter. The local village was a place called Cleobury Mortimer and the village butcher was renowned throughout the county for his amazing sausages. You had to get there very early to avoid the queue.
