This might change as the year develops but at the moment it's all about the British Rowing Indoor Championships age group 2km in December. Targetting sub-7 minutes.

Manchester marathon for me, targetting a sub 4, if I can actually get back into training after injury (fingers crossed I'm over it).

I am also doing Brighton (the week before!), but will be treating that as a long run

Minimag - would going eye balls out at Brighton while fresh be a better suggestion?

Foxy, you may have a point...
I know what I'm like, will probably get caught up in the emotion and go for it, was a bad idea to enter enter both.

Your Edinburgh half marathon time suggests you should be well capable of running a sub 4.

I ran Berlin & Chicago a fortnight apart in 2022 & the second was 3 mins quicker, I ran London & MK this year 8 days apart & was 33 mins slower. I then ran Berlin & Chicago this year 2 weeks apart & the latter was 13 mins slower.

Brighton isn’t a slow course, Manchester I believe a fraction quicker but not much in it.

I think both Brighton and Manchester are billed as being flattish but there are undulations.

Just one !

For me I’m most looking forward to my 5th Chicago Marathon in October.
