Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[From a few pages back ...

Long ago, my neighbour raised four legged chicken.

One day they got free, he never did manage to catch even one!

Not even the local foxes knew the flavour! :-) ]

Half-arsed reviews like this bbc.co.uk Why not use GPS to measure the distance and were the watches calibrated to the runner before each test?

"This is a real shame as a real world (on-road) test would have been more useful for consumers," said Dr Dale Esliger, senior lecturer in physical activity and health at Loughborough University.

Saw that article and got pee'd off by it too. Especially the headline:

'Fitness trackers 'add miles to your marathon''

Actually, no they don't. Pathetic.

I wonder if it was 118 (or 59) testers or one bloke/lass with 59 trackers on each arm?

But you'd first have to prove that none of them interfered with each other.

ChrisHB - you seem to be confusing this article with robust scientific research

It'll be what passes for science in a short time if politics goes the way it seems to be going.
