On Thursday evening I booked 2 tickets for the theatre on Saturday evening, and 2 for a play in September. My credit card has been charged for the full amount.
The email with our e-tickets for Saturday came through straightaway. No sign of our e-tickets for September (I'd thought they were all on one email, but they aren't.

I can't remember which seats I booked for September but 🤞the computer at the box office does!

(The September play is Ben Hur, written by Pattick Barlow, who also did the excellent and very funny 39 Steps with only three actors. This time it's 4 actors, and includes a chariot race and sea battle and promises to be equally entertaining. )

All sorted re the tickets.

Today I took nine very full bags of garden waste to the tip after a morning of hard graft.
One of the bags - a brand new one - is made of slippery plastic 'fabric' and slipped out of my hand as I went to empty it, and fell into the skip, which at that very moment had the compactor activated.

Luckily one of the hi-viz chaps came to my rescue and stopped the machine just in time, retrieving the errant bag with what looked like an old sash window pole.

While making a rather complicated recipe that took over the whole kitchen and used just about every pan, I also managed to knock a container of quinoa over onto the coffee machine, more than doubling the mess and amount of cleanup required.

Serves you right for having something in your kitchen that doesn’t sound the way it’s spelt 😉

I forgot that beta-alinine can cause an unpleasant itchy-tingling feeling all over, and just drank an energy drink full of it 😐

Apparently it should wear off in an hour or so.
