GordonG May 2021 11:47am, 27 May 2021 8,579 posts	0 GordonG Just how aggressive magpies are. over the past couple of days I've watched a magpie in our garden chase: a robin two pigeons several other magpies our pet guinea pig our pet rabbit (which is about 4 times the size of the magpie) squirrels in the tree. twice. yesterday, when a fox jumped up on to next door's shed roof, the magpie flew down and stood on the roof literally two feet away from the fox. it was the (uninterested) fox who walked away first.

Cerrertonia May 2021 12:54pm, 27 May 2021 14,061 posts	0 Cerrertonia We had an injured magpie in the garden earlier in the year. It could hop around, but not fly. It found a spot to recuperate, and its mate appeared to be bringing it a mix of food - seeds, worms, insects etc. After a few weeks, it seemed to have got better.

Cerrertonia May 2021 1:25pm, 27 May 2021 14,063 posts	0 Cerrertonia Kept chickens for many years, Cheg, so I do keep an eye out for foxes, and haven't see any in the garden this year. There is a pair of magpies here quite often, don't think I could definitely say it's the same pair.
