There's no reference to them swimming.
The question "what drugs was Ezekiel on?" is relevant, but the same is true of everybody else who describes angels.

Some commentaries suggest that the Seraphim covered their genitals and not their feet with their wings.
I agree that descriptions of angels may well be the result of the use certain substances.
