and every other street. Ours go to half-strength* at 11; I expect yours do as well.

* The word "strength" in this context is misleading.

When they replaced all the lights in the Borough - but the midnight-off thing is much more recent - maybe this spring.

That would be a great evolutionary strategy. All the moths would be drawn to the bats. It's a win-win. Except for the moths. For them it's more of a lose-lose.
