We even had a baseball diamond. Our school was just a bog-standard comprehensive but we had an enthusiastic PE teacher who was American/Polish. I agree though there are only three sports (Football/Rugby/Cricket) plus running.

Actually this isn't something I know, as in it's an actual fact, but something I noticed this morning when hubby was watching some motor racing. Is this actually true?

Winded Nov 2013 9:11am, 17 Nov 2013 1,252 posts	0 Winded Athletics used to run clockwise sometimes too. Some places tended to run one way and some the other. As things became standardised this was lost but as recently as the 1950's it was common to see races run clockwise in some places.

I've got a feeling anti-clockwise won, but that could well be complete nonsense. That I won't be going away over New Year after all.
