Survived visits to Teasco, Sainsbury's and a garden centre at the weekend, but work has just put the Christmas mix on the toilet speakers.

I'm within earshot of those speakers when the doors open.

I think I asked them to remove Wham last year, but I don't know if they have this year.

If my daughter is in the front of the car, she insists on turning the radio over from Absolute to Viking FM (our local Planet Radio "Hits and Throwbacks" identikit broadcaster). She doesn't realise that she's playing with fire every time she puts that station on.

Radio Five Live for the journey home, just to be safe...
