I've noticed more recently that if I am sat (WFH!) a lot my lower legs get puffy/swollen.

They are fine in the morning after resting.

I'm therefore assuming it's lack of movement (plus being lardy maybe?) and that I need to move more.

I try to use a foot rest as I'm short so feet aren't dangling.

So is it just a case of move more during the day (in a non exercise way) and if so how much and how frequent? Am I damaging myself at all too? (guessing no here?)

I think you need to move more. I would try to get up every half hour or so but I don't know what's recommended. Does your company have an occupational health / health and safety type person you can talk to? You might need to adjust your set up.

Also cold hosing is good for puffy legs but that might be more of a horse thing.

You could try laying on your back with your feet up on a wall for 5 minutes or so. Used to do that after a cafe shift after someone recommended.

Some of my colleagues do part of their day, standing up/walking around. Not all the time, but to keep moving.

Yeah, what Roo says, sometimes known as 'Leg drains'. Legs up against wall in a v shape of your choice, or just straight. I like to move on to an adductor stretch / box splits stretch - but that's just me.

Feels good if nothing else. Dancers and athletes favourite!
