M1nty
Hello Happy G, I think the torn calf is fixed, but lost most of my fitness in the meantime. Started running again on Sunday (5 miles), so just another 28 to complete the D33. I'll plan next week and beyond after Saturday - think that's sensible.

Glad calf is better M1nty. Just go carefully (obviously) to try and get fully strong again. I'm not even going to ask the question of is D33 sensible! Enjoy the day in Aberdeen and all the lovely peeps.
My couple of very slow runs after the marathon on Sunday are feeling OK. A couple of niggles. Thinking about having a wee swim tonight to try and let everything recover a bit.
Who all is going to the Inspiration Evening next Tuesday. whwrunner put a plea on Facebook for people to book asap if they want to go, so they can sort out numbers for teas and coffees and things, in good time. I've offered my support crew tickets if they want to learn all about the madness! G

Destroyed in a good way though sants, as I have seen some rather lovely pictures of mountains, blue sky and runners legs covered in scratches!
RWR usual top bloggage on her site - linked through her blog here too. Always a good read. G

Red wine is merely to take away the pain. Everyday since I've arrived I've conquered mountains higher than Ben Nevis! Mental

Have I seen a D33 and Loch Katrine back to back from Minty?! Errr... I'm assuming that's good news and you are all better.
I know sants had good long run at weekend too.
I had my last long run week of 4, with a cut back this week (6 days in Norway skiing - yay! That's a rest, obv!) 26 (WHW with sants and Joops and siouxsie and whwrunner); 27 (Borders marathon 3:13); 28 (hilly club run - 5 hours) and this weekend 35 miles along the canal from Glasgow to Linlithgow.
Was trying for sub 4 pace and got to 26.2 in 3:45 but then slowed up a lot after that. Not confidence inspiring, but a 35 miler in the bag. And 13.5 on the Sunday as a sort of back to back.
So, happy enough with training. Got Glasgow to Edinburgh 55 in a couple of weeks. Hoping for around 9 hours. Going to go quite hard and try not to stop too much. Then a bit of a rest after, then back onto a big few weekends in April - hopefully do something biggish on Fling weekend, just running up and down as mobile supporter, probably! Good luck to everyone else doing the more conventional "Fling as training for WHW" approach!
Then a wee rest weekend of May 16 as going down to London to visit family. Then last big weekend will be WHW training weekend 23/24 May hopefully. Then taper down to the big day.
Sound about right? G

Ah, but that was on the hilly Katrine course sants, so it counts double, doesn't it?!
Remember, I'm still trying to get up to distance. Saturday was only my 2nd longest ever training run and 6th longest run even including races (G24, Fling, Devil, Speyside, one 50 mile training run). G
