After doing the Virtual London Marathon I was thinking (as I plodded around for hours alone with nothing much to think about) that I would incorporate virtual races into my training.

I've already mentally ticked to do the Ashby 20 in March but is there a go to place for Virtual Races not challenges (already doing one of those)

And Fetch can you add a category in the race directory for virtual race available?

Nice Work has quite a few virtual races and there are proper leaderboards and category trophies etc.

thank you!
I knew there must be something after this year and I am guessing it will become much more of a thing

I did the Ashby 20 as a virtual race this year, Pix, and am thinking about doing it again. Just need to look for a better route (Possibly an out and back to my sister’s house). My Ashby 20 hoodie is fab. Almost as good as a Fetch hoodie! ;) So want to try and get another. :)

As licenced events, do virtual or staggered start races affect the Runbritain rankings? Something I've just thought of.

I understand that to be officially included in race results, runners must start at the same time and not early or late to suit an individual, which a virtual race would be in effect.

Sigh
I've done 12 virtual races this year, and there's still another 4 to go.

This weekend is the Werrington 10k: my.raceresult.com

In November I have:

Flying Fox 10 mile: my.raceresult.com

Stone 10k : my.raceresult.com

Meerbrook 15k: my.raceresult.com

Here's how the race results were published for the last one:

8000a96b-a8fc-416c-87eb-da813fc315e2.filesusr.com

(I'm at the bottom of the first page!)

All are listed on Fetch, in my race portfolio. Hope this helps.

My understanding is that virtual events may be listed on runbritain but won't affect the handicap.
