All joined up and ready to run  I've put a running photo from my Trentham days in my profile on the Conqueror site - me running with a green vest over a long-sleeved tee - and need to do a bit of work before I go out for a run so I'm still at the startline. Quite tempted to flip the photo because if you look at the map it looks like I'm running in the wrong direction. But I really ought to stop playing with virtual running sites and get that work done.

Have to admit being slightly disappointed that if I sync my FitBit, it bases my progress on steps each day rather than taking the running mileage (I do like my techy automations), but I'm sure I can manage to update manually.

I have made a start and am 3.6 miles in, somewhere in the undergrowth of Newcastle! Hoping for some better views of (or from!) the wall later on in the month.

Good luck with virtual, the weather 2 weeks ago at Vindolanda was beautiful, the wall stretch along the Portgate was easy going but the best bit was the coffee and cakes at the cafe on the junction of the B Road and the

Thanks, Dai. I'll look out for it. The only part I know for real is the section which the Pennine Way runs along. Looking forward to seeing that again and exploring the rest of it.
Hoping to do the whole thing non-virtually one day ...

You're well ahead of me Synge. I did a mile for Run the Sum (1km just felt too short, and I think there might be streak badges if you do a minimum of a mile too). I've reached a point where although you can see yourself on the maps, you can't get a street view. I'm behind what looks like a factory.
