Chrisull Apr 2023 9:32am, 26 Apr 2023 20,088 posts	0 Chrisull I'm 34 years into being a veggie now, and must admit the idea of eating meat (or other similarly sentient creature) appalls me and has done for a long time now. I should make the last hop to being vegan given that I don't like milk and have milk substitutes the whole time, but I think giving up eggs would be the killer. Also I fear giving up cheese because vegan substitutes are so unhealthy (made from coconut oil). I don't like the trend to ever more realistic meat replacements, so much of good veggie cooking doesn't require a replacement.

Even the person serving didn't know. Neither did the organisers. In the end I risked what I thought was jackfruit (it was) and then went straight to dessert. Grrr
