The missing vowels were really hard last night, it’s usually a good round for me.

Did ok on the walls, even spotted the anagrams though couldn’t see two of them.

Funnily enough I did OK on the vowels.

Agree that the connections were easy, relatively, but they did hook onto a few of them very rapidly.

Funny how film / actor knowledge is often important on the walls. Feels disproportionately represented there (not that I'm complaining).

I think them hooking onto them quickly was more about how easy they were though. The "triangle with extra lines" one was achingly easy and I had that almost immediately - I was surprised they went for a second clue.

I wonder if the film-link in the walls is a new thing? I seem to remember earlier series leaning more heavily into homonyms, etc - assume they need to change thematically to avoid becoming predictable?

Yep, the shapes was easy (though I had drawn a different shape in my head for the first item), as was the 1911, 1912 pattern. The musical amphibian was also pretty straightforward.

Glad it wasn't just me, I named the song and "artist" - but needed the third clue to confirm the connection!

In my defence I had the album the song was on when I was little and played it to death.

I did quite well on the walls this week, including the fruit anagrams and I’m usually rubbish at the wordy ones

I had a terrible time with the second wall this time.

One thing I am happy about with OC is that team members who would never make it onto most quiz shows these days, which are more about chatting than actual quiz knowledge etc, get their place without being set up as parodies or punchbags for jokes. The Introverts' team captain being a case in point. Well done to the production team for selecting him and his teammates, most shows he would have failed the audition by some distance!
