Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm sure it was like that a few years ago, don't know why they changed it.

I like the order how it is. Housemate goes out to put dinner on while I watch, OC finishes, we scrabble for the remote to avoid the dreadful screeching violins of UC and I have my dinner.

BBC really does have the monopoly in terrible-sounding theme songs, OC, UC, Arsehole Osman's House of Games, Jason Manford's new lowbrow vehicle...

Good OC, faded badly in UC! Good score.

Got a fair few on OC after two clues. Did well on the first wall, poorly on the second missing the obvious connection. Two good teams there I thought.

Two hard walls last night I thought. And a stonking last round for the winners.

Yeah, those walls were vicious. Liked both the teams, but the ladies were definitely lacking pop-culture knowledge.

I looked Amal's reaction to the verdict Vivaldi answer to the music question. Raised eyebrow at the camera 🤨

A combination of smart brains and some of the easier combinations / sequences last night conspired for some very high scoring.

And an infuriating way to play the wall by the second team. "Just cycle through some combinations please, stop talking about groups you only vaguely have an idea about" was being yelled (in my head at least!) last night!!

I don't think they were particularly smart, they were some of the easiest early round questions I've seen. Housemate was getting answers - plural. Normally he's lucky if he even understands the connections once they're revealed.

The second wall had my blood boiling. They won't progress far using that strategy on harder walls.

That said, the first set of missing vowels were beastly!
