My bid (well, my idea and mostly my work, polished up and rounded out by my boss, who gets listed as the lead officer on it because she's senior to me) for a substantial amount of money to host a very flashy tech and innovation show has been accepted! It might be the new biggest successful bid in the fund's history. |

My Garmin has started making suggestions to me. A couple of days ago it said "go run at a slow pace for an hour and a minute". I'm not sure why the extra minute matters, but I said "challenge accepted!". Recent 5k attempts have seen me stopping to walk at 1k intervals after 2k, so set off slow, and got gradually slower, with a last burst of slow. But didn't stop running for 61 minutes. The last 20 minutes were "well I've not died yet, might as well keep going". Makes me think I might be able to do a 10k without falling over, which I've not done for years, and only once. |
