Weather has since turned autumnal, to say the least, and I fear we’re now cruising all the way back to winter. Kirsten was on her Silver DofE exped. Her leader from school is a retired bootneck and we’ve previously pulled up a sandbag and swung the Tilley; he confided that yesterday was one of the most brutal days of hiking/camping that he’s ever seen. She, apparently, was instrumental in bringing them all home on time and in good health. Very proud of the girl who “hates this sort of thing”!!
