fraggle after swimming 19km recently all I can advice is think smooth and efficient. Long easy strokes makes a massive difference later on. If you don't want to look/move like Quasimodo for several weeks make sure you breathe bilaterally...

Also if you have them take some spare goggles that have a different shape. I couldn't believe how much my eye sockets began to hurt after a few hours and changing goggles was a big relief - Do what you can to keep discomfort at a minimum.

Thanks The Mussile It’s 5.5km so not hugely far compared to yours . I do breathe bilaterally, and I think I maybe missed a bit of lube on my neck. We have to get out twice for locks, so I’ll make sure I take it in my (mandatory) tow float in case of emergencies.

Massage booked for Friday to get the shoulders working properly

D'oh, wrong thread.

The girl who won that ^ award has just announced that she's defecting to the club we clustered with last season because the rest of us voted to play under own name in a new 10s league rather than continuing to cluster (in large part because that other club are kinda dicks, so we want to grow our own squad rather than be treated as their reserves).

I'm pretty pissed off with her for it.

The cubit is an ancient unit of length based on the distance from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger.

Morning Rich, morning All
Some semblance of routine returns to the household this morning as Sunray* returned to work. Kids go back to school next week and I'm back to part-time working at the same time. Another summer in the bag! :)
