Don’t dodge the pool, Pix. It’s important to keep regular.

I can only do a 7AM swim
Start work at 8 so can't go later
not enough time to drive there and back at lunch and evening lanes are too late (don't sleep with evening training)
When you get up at 7 it's too late!

Try and get back in the habit sooner rather than later. Early starts are a lot easier in the daylight.

(My training has gone to shit and isn't going to improve until the kids are back at school in a fortnight. I managed a bit of sculling drills at family splash yesterday though :-D)

Also - MA!

I was determined to get back this week! Failed on day 1!

Husband on nights next week so I have to get up before he gets home as he goes straight to bed so should be OK for 2 weeks then and hopefully that will get me back into the swing of it

It's about choice Pix

The problem with not being accountable to someone is you lack focus. Have you been on your bike ? We haven't seen you on a Tuesday ?

Have you run ?

Up at 0500.and out on the mtb with my neighbour again

What's not to like about living next to the chase :-) ?

going on bike now
couldn't swim last week as 2 sets of roadworks between here and pool meant mornings not feasible

Now in our world when you can't do something you do something else.

Ie. If I cant run I ride, there is always a window to train

Hopefully this is the week you restart properly.

Pix - can you start work later and finish later, or is 8am a 'hard' start time ? how accommodating is your manager, as an 8.30 start would be perfect ?
