Ness it is indeed exciting Sweetie I should see you then - I'm aiming to be at the front of the queue and get going as soon as TRO will be long since gone Someone at club said I'd had my bike a long time the other day (7yrs now) as if I should upgrade .... I feel she's good enough as the bike is only as good as the engine |

I am vicariously very excite for you, too, Pix and Sweetie. If only it were possible, both covidly and geographically, to come along and cheer for you in person. One day maybe. Hotel trip to Hawaii next year? |

There is a live track thingy, any virtual cheering and sending of positive vibes will be greatly appreciated! Pix - I'll probably be at the back of the 6:02's as I'm nervous about the pontoon entry, if you see someone faffing about at the end when you come through, just push them off as it will probably be me |

that was me at the half hence I went to a public swim a few times the water was warm then so expect it to be "perfect" this weekend AC gave me some top tips So I'm stepping in (legs apart arms out) as that reduces the amount you go under. Breath out as I get in Then doing 1-2 breaststrokes to clear nose and head then off my faffing took me 30 secs last time but I then had a stress a few mins later as I had worked myself up so I'm cool now maybe try the saturday practice swim? Non wetsuit even though race day will be wetsuit |

Thanks for the tips, that's helpful. It was only 5 years ago that I overcame my fear of water enough to swim with my face in the water and, although I love swimming now, there is still some residual nervousness about going too far under. I had to jump off a dock for the Cardiff tri a couple of years ago and I remember being shocked just how far under I went. It'll be fine, I'm bringing my big girl pants. |

I totally get you sweetie you just don't jump in as an adult at the pool so it's alien but deep breathes we can do this! and there is plenty of space you can lower yourself in and move sideways too |

Anything fun at the weekend? Middle distance on Saturday Mostly trying not to think about it while working, and a bit of what the young people call self care the rest of the time. So walks, yogas, massage. And then many logistics panics |
