NL is back on the EU red list, and lcw 'Holland' has been re-postponed until next May - though I think that's also in large part because they've finally realised they moved it to clash with Challenge Almere and everybody wanted to do it that instead. If it goes ahead...

Have to say there will be conversations and thinking about Hawaii in October over the weekend.
Allegedly they are allowing deferrals (for now) but that will be limited and will end.
I can’t see the US letting in folk from the UK with case rates high - we’ll be past the peak of this wave soon, but I think the downward slope will be slow without a lockdown. So cases will remain high/significant.
Further the Delta variant wave is ramping up still in the US and much of Europe so likely to peak for them Aug/Sept.
At best it will be tenterhooks for 2 months followed by a diminished experience with many rest of world athletes unable to attend, worst we get the travel plug pulled when too late to defer/recovery money on bookings.
It will be gutting to have to put it back another 12 months. Still, first world problems compared to some.

The Chatt aspect means it will be a joint decision. Hence the need to talk it through as well as think.
The truly dreadful thing is that if I want a late season Ironman race the only choice is Bolton 70.3 in late Sept…..
