Would have been the outlaw half tomorrow
Given the temperature I'm glad it isn't! 🤣🤣

Am I allowed to say I'm a little concerned about the Indian variant and possible impact on outlaw etc?

Certainly you're allowed Pix. The most intelligent, and the only honest, thing that anyone can say at the moment is "we just don't know".

I think the Indian variant represents a pivotal point. Viruses will always mutate.

We have reduced cases low (so new variants are easy to spot in terms of where etc) and have most of the vulnerable population who are likely to get very ill/hospitalised/die vaccinated. In short we’re in a pretty good position.

If they can successfully stamp this variant out with local measures then a pretty good sign we have some resilience, and things will get close to normal. We have a working process to deal with variants as and when.

If it does build into another bad wave across the country then we are in this for the long, multi year haul in/out of lockdown, endless social distancing, end of routine international travel for the foreseeable, some stuff never being restarted etc.

Nervous, but still hopeful we can get on top of this variant quickly.

*crosses fingers*

It might help if idiots didn’t gather in large groups to lick each other’s faces whilst celebrating the foregone conclusion of a lame sports competition.

AA. Decided to do nothing today. I've bought a strimmer and entered an aquathon on Tuesday night.

650 swim and 5.7k run. Exciting :)
