It probably takes as long from Romford by train as it does from Chelmsford. I assume the direct trains are at best infrequent?

Probably. 20 minutes on the train, train every 5 minutes or so at rush hour. The direct trains are every hour but don't start until after 9am.
About 10 miles door to door though on the push bike so add on walking either side when I'm doing the train and the bike might be the quickest option. I will be experimenting in the coming weeks

I like it, Si. Works well for me, anyway.
Isn't that a tad dangerous, Catters dear?

ION, the conditions are truly Scottish out there today. We skiied 2 hours but sacked it off when we were wet through to our pants!
Desperately trying to get all our kit dry now.
Souvenir shopping this afternoon.

Google wants to take you down the A12, which means you'll get killed to death at least a couple of times a week

Skiing in the rain is *so* depressing on *so* many levels. Bleugh.

Just for the record I am NOT out where Ankh is skiing....
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that is made better by rain - unless you are watching cricket and your team's getting a shelling....

So sitting by a riverbank holding a bit of string with a worm on the end for 9 hours is made better by being soaking wet and cold throughout...?
