For a pool tri, I swim without lenses and put prescription sun/vision glasses on the bike. Like you Glenn, I can get away without glasses/lenses for swim and run, but like the extra security of having good vision on the bike. But I wear disposables, so less of an issue. Strictly speaking, I don't think an optician would recommend wearing lenses to swim in, even with goggles, but with disposables there's less of a risk of keeping putting something nasty in your eye.

Relatively cheap at ~£35 a pair and come with 4 lenses (2 shades of dark, orange and clear). The orange ones are brilliant for MTB as they don’t leave you blundering about blindly in the shady woods. Good quality too.

I have spares all over the place. I have lost one or two swimming when goggles have flooded. Appreciate this is a royal PITA for RGP!
