Bore da.
I succeeded in waking up at 6 this morning, which is definite progress towads my ultimate goal of getting up at 6 and doing things before work, but clearly there's still some way to go. Every hourney starts with a single step and all that.
I am seriously contemplating going to the pool this evening and, rather than enduring the overcrowded public swim session, paying a few euros extra to get into the spa bit and using their special reserved lane as well as the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi bits.

Aloha. Thanks PoD.
Here's an update, cut and pasted from the AF thread:
Blood test at 07;25 tomorrow. Thence to see a cardiologist.
My AF is mild, apparently, and I may get away with being prescribed nothing more dramatic than asprin, although in probability it will be warfarin or one of its more modern cousins.

If they suggest warfarin, push for a modern cousin like apixaban Greg, nobody your age should be faffing about with warfarin monitoring requirements.

Thanks Sweeters. I think she mentioned warfarin simply because it was the one people have heard of. She rattled off a number of other names which didn't stick in my head.
My mother took warfarin for a long time. Seems dosage is beyond tricky. Either way, I'm seeing the splendidly-named Dr Reto Gamma on the 18th, and we'll take it from there. Thanks as always to the Fetchland massive for all the support.

Gamma? Isn't that what turned David Banner into the Incredible Hulk?

I just popped on fetch and came for a look in here and you’re talking about one of my specialist subjects!
Sorry to hear about the AF Gerp. I’m a thrombophiliac so warfarin is my friend- dosage can be a bit all over the shop sometimes but it’s really not that tricky to have in your life to be honest. I don’t mind taking it at all. Fragmin injections though- whole new story, those things are absolutely evil. They are usually only needed for extra risky times though, like after operations/flights etc (or every single day for a year with pregnancy 🙄)
