Yabba.
Mixed bank holiday combining some training, some racing and visiting a family member in hospital.
Racing/training summary: Friday - tempo 5k runnage Saturday - 3.4k swim (pool)/Hospital visit Sunday - Hounslow 100. Mind not in the game and conditions slow - time 4:18; rode around 10w below last year's 100 power for 90 miles then fell apart. Solid workout rather than race, and the more important target 100's are late June and earlu July so this was a useful sighter. IT DID NOT RAIN!!! Monday - 2 x 30 sweetspot watting, 1hr50mins VERY slow run. Tired watter this morning.
Tour of Cambs next w/e.

Yes yours sounded a horror show.
Rare than I am lucky with rain but I had a dry race then drove home with it leathering down most of the way.

We spent the weekend at Scout camp. It rained. A lot. This week I will be spending most of my spare time drying canvas tents.

Is canvas still a thing for tents? Serious question.

Our scout troop has a canvas awning for cooking & eating under. All the tents are polyester-esque materials. Much lighter to carry.
