Sounds like Chopper is a bit of an arsehole, so presumably plenty of other people will have similar experiences with him - would it be possible to talk to a few of them without it seeming too play-groundy and then either all have a word with Chopper directly or go to the powers that be (I don't know what the set up is, presumably someone is responsible for interpreting and applying the rules?) and say they need to tell him to sort it out?

I think Rae has it spot on. Be a shame not to test yourself at the level you deserve because of one arsehole, and whilst safety is more important ultimately there are other things to try first.

I once played 5 a side football against the real ‘Chopper’, as in Chelsea’s defensive hard man.
As a whippy 19 year old forward I fancied running the old clogger ragged, as he was then about 45 years old and 15 stone.
Well he went on to absolutely dominate the game, flicks, tricks and skills, impossible to dispossess, goals, threaded passes the lot. He was like Iniesta.
We got leathered 5-1, although I did net our 1. I remember getting a chance to run at him one on one - he burgled the ball, and a granite shoulder shunted me into the hoardings, then he went upfield to set up another chance.
A lesson in just how good pro’s are....

Rae - I did indeed speak to the league runner and the commissioners. Even they call him chopper.
Is it legal- it's on the ethical line what he does. The problem is that until it causes a major accident (I have bike skills) it will not be fully flagged as dangerous even if it should be.
I just don't want another 3 months like I have just had.

Even if it's legal/borderline could they have a quiet word in his shell like and tell him he's starting to get on everyone's tits?
Or would he just kick up a fuss and say they were try to stop him competing fairly?
