Vanity today. Lifted some unseasonably heavy stuff, quite surprised but pleased too.

Runny club?
Efforts are for Tuesdays. Says so in the bible. Thursdays are long run day until Jan 22nd, when they are longish ride days.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I saw some footage of Tyson training with a guy holding the pads, the speed and power looked terrifying.
The poor guys pads were inadequate to say the least.

Atonal Miserabilist (AFKA TRO)
For 2-3 years he was indeed utterly awesome; and strangely wise about things (in his younger days) until it all went off the rails.
I like a couple of other things he did/said in that golden era: He used to do his roadwork (running) at 4am. He did this because he knew he would be doing the run while the other guy was still in bed. Gave him a mental edge. He used to talk about fear: we all feel it - but the coward turns away and the hero goes ahead anyway.

Didn't he also turn being comparatively short into an asset - getting inside and all that, or did I imagine that?
