That’s very stylish Fitz, I tend to go for the more gaudy & loud.
89 was the year I started training as a nurse CW, sounds like you have really fond memories of The Cure at Wembley 😀.
I guess AC is mostly right, I am a old, bastard, rocker that ended up working for the government . But I’m a happy one that likes reminiscing & sharing reminisces 😀

I do feel old and work for the government, but would really self describe as a goth rather than a rocker.
From the end of the Holy Bible anniversary tour in 2015, the Cardiff Castle gig.

Bet the Manics at Cardiff castle was special. I’ve only ever seen them once at the NEC in Birmingham.
Be lovely to see your T-shirts Linds.

It was awesome, yes. I even gained a new leopard print scarf at the end when I was looking for the leopard print cardi I'd lost (I did also find that again, which was nice) in the throng. There is (or at least used to be) a video of the gig where my best mate and I can just be seen in the crowd but I have no idea if it's still up on the youtubez.
I've seen them a few times now, mostly in Eindhoven (for some reason they play here a lot), but I'm usually the youngest person in the crowd by some margin and absolutely the only one dancing amongst a forest of freakishly tall Dutch people who are merely nodding along with apparently only vague enjoyment.

I usually take my boy (17) so he's the youngest person in the crowd

I used to have a few Joe Satriani Tour shirts. The Extremist and the Luminous Flesh Giants tours (early to mid-90s I reckon) but they've gone now. The only one I have left is the long sleeved purple "Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing" shirt which is one of my most cherished possessions still, although not strictly linked to a tour.
(Edit: I just googled. The LFG tour was '95)

Be nice to see your Mystical Potato Head shirt Nellers, especially if you value it so much. T-shirt’s don’t have to be tour related, it just fitted for the title. I never really listened to any Joe Satriani, I had a copy of Steve Vai’s Flex-able when I was 16/17, which I thought was awful. I knew Satriani had taught him so I assumed that his music would be similar, which is a bit daft.
