Larkim - neither have I.
The only time I've ever had a black toenail was (a) getting hit by cricket balls on the toe and (b) getting hit by hockey balls on the toe.
And I've never ever lost one.

9.5 But the culprit, for a change, was the back door, which I accidentally rammed into my toe a couple of months ago.

All normal, although now that I look I see that they could do with a trim.

All ten at present.
I lost two during my first marathon and put plasters on my big toes for a couple of subsequent marathons. I no longer have any such problems; i.e. no plasters and no loss of toe nails either.

All 10 her for once. I normally only ever suffer with my big toe nails, and then only on 100km+ runs. I can usually keep them on long enough that the new nail is already mostly formed under the old nail before it falls off.

I've never lost a nail from running. I've never done longer than a marathon distance, though.

I have 8.5, they do take a long time to grow back, particularly the big toe. Lost my right big toe-nail about a year ago due to too tight shoes, and it is only half grown back now

In contrast to Sam & Phil, my main problem is the 2nd toe, it’s longer than my big toe & points at a funny angle (on both feet). Anything over a half with a good bit of downhill & I’m liable to get 2 blackies. Heel lock lacing helps on some shoes, as can buying men’s with a wider box. And no, please don’t feel left out, it’s really manky (not manly as autocorrect is insisting!)
