I don't have to justify what is spent on it - hobbies don't need reasons. That, Nord Rundeer 🦌, is sheer genius. Thanks! (I've got some 1961 bodywork to restore, myself....) Of course, you can help you postcode life expectancy by moving to the south-west of almost any city in the UK compared with living in the north-east of the same city! Correlation is not causation - there are also other factors at play. |

The difference in life expectancy in areas of the country are quite incredible really, Glasgow, NE and NW English cities. Overall NW 78, SE 81 for men, much worse in the cities.... I remember my dad talking about the life expectancy of the average Post Office worker, he was a convenor. The average post man always worked a few years after 65, just to get that bit extra, the average post man died aged 71, years of work followed by ill health. This was a few years back now.... Get Out as soon as you can. |

Sooo I'm not totally joining the thread, but am 6.5 working days away from retiring from my career. I'll probably end up doing something part-time, but have 9 or so weeks off in the meantime. Loads of house things to do and some other stuff but looking forward mostly to trying to get fit as a v40 and win some pot hunts later on next year |

Nice, Ally-C! I love the colour (and my wife would hate it just as much!). Well done Curly45. Can I ask what career lets you out as a V40? (I want to go back and try again!) |

I've asked on the Campervan thread and I still don't understand how people afford campervans. I ended up coming to the conclusion that a lot of people have an amazing amount of surplus income compared to what I have :-/ Would love a campervan, but can't see how I could afford it. Sooooo jealous Ally-C |
