Not jealous of any photos at all šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚.

I could have that ice cream every day if I went 10 minutes past my house after workā€¦Auntie Bettyā€™s is practically on my doorstep

Heading SE to Hayle or SW ? From my experience the bit from Hayle to Lelant isn't worth it, unless ticking a box for completion. All next to a busy road and (fairly smelly) mud. The sand dunes eithe side of the estuary are good though! Enjoy

We didnā€™t bother with Leland, just over the dunes to Hayle from Upper Towans then back along the beach.
We had some steep, sandy climbs to deal with. Being retired isnā€™t all that easy, you knowā€¦

We had to have a Philps pasty as well as Mr Bā€™s ice cream (I didnā€™t think to take photos)

Day off today and I made it productive even with a slight long lie. I could get used this life rather quickly.

Got an update on my pension pot earlier, itā€™s went up more in the last year than I intend to take out annually, so thatā€™s promising.

No kids to leave anything to anyway.

As WW keeps reminding me, today should have been my last day. I think the three day thing will work out. I hope!

I did have an interesting conversation with my immediate line manager though, where I said that I wasnā€™t sure Iā€™d get very far past next June. ā€œWe only agreed the three day week based on the fact you said you would stay until 2025ā€ to which my reply was ā€œwell Iā€™m still only on three monthsā€™ noticeā€

One of my final pieces of work before leaving was to produce a proposal for a retirement policy. Possibly a futile exercise, but my boss approved it and she was a board director; In summary, I pointed out that they should be incentivising folks to provide longer notice periods of their retirement dates in return for days off to plan for retirement, preserved bonus entitlement, etc.

It may come to nothing, but without it, more and more times they'll be stung by long-serving employees giving the bare minimum notice and leaving quite a hole.

Today, my job was to watch seagulls, eat fish and chips and swim in the sea at St Ives. I am an exemplary employee and achieved everything on todayā€™s job list.
