Mr Pix is getting annoyed with his mum! She keeps saying he needs to get another job and that he should work until he's 60! I think she thinks he will just sit on his bum and watch sport all day doing nothing so has concerns for his physical (no exercise) and mental health (dementia from not using brain) which I get but given I have known them now since since 91 and never known them working ... I am still waiting for part time news - I believe they are OK for me to be part time just need to OK hours but I also think they are ignoring it until I return from jury service. Plus I think they want 5 half days which is not really what I want! But without working part time I can't do the volunteering to go swimming and I can't just quit as we still don't have that safety net from Gran Everything seems to be going frustratingly slow!! |

I think Mr Pix's mum should be told, politely if possible, to mind her own business! Fortunately mum completely understood my decision to take early retirement. I suppose it was an easier decision because of Dad's brain tumour and the fact that he didn't live to enjoy any retirement. She could see why I didn’t want to put off retirement. Whatever Mr Pix decides I feel it should be up to him. Just hope you get some news too, Pix so you can make the changes you want. 🤞

I have just signed up for a nail technician course in February. Might as well do something I’m interested in.

Luckily (not that I would care) but my family all think it’s a good idea that I give it up.

Aye, Mr Pix's parents need to butt right out. If he wants to sit on his arse in front of the telly all day and you're happy with that and you can afford that sort of lifestyle, he's a grown man and can make his own risk/benefit assessment.
