blackcat took to nibbling the spider plant, so it was moved to an inaccessible windowsill, where it sulked to death. The succulents are on the kitchen windowsill, where it is too sunny, but at least they get watered and not eaten by a cat. I regift most houseplants now :-( I was thinking of lush plastic ones for the bathroom as T9 wants a tropical theme, but they get dusty so quickly!

Paula, is that a Meyer lemon? Looks a nice little tree - my one is straggling shrub, as it has to over winter in a heated cold frame. But the night yellow lemons are always cheering, and the flowers smell lovely

The little leaflet that came with it says it's a variety called 'Lemon4seasons' which has both tasty fruit and fragrant flowers. It was a thank you gift from my mum and step-dad for helping them over the past few months, so actually it should be OH's tree as he's been the one doing all their shopping.

I hope we can keep it happy.

This creepy bastard was bought as one of those tiny plants for putting in a sealed terrarium type thing, but it clearly didn't get the memo and it went wild in the damp environment of my first apartment in Brussels.

Now it lives in the bathroom at home in NL and I *have* to have regular steamy hot baths to keep it alive. Have to. There's no other way

In my experience it's quite hard to kill a spider plant.

Great re-use of the wheelbarrow :-)

And some really lovely plants on here.

As it's flying ant day (or one of them, I know we have more than one) I took the little venus fly trap out into the garden for a good feed. All of its traps are now shut.

(I *might* have helped with one or two, where the flying ants had crashed into me and I'd picked them off and then fed them to the plant. I know that sounds awful. Sorry.)

So… houseplants, eh? They’re the pet it’s okay to forget to feed (sometimes). And they don’t...
