Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I love Lady Felicity, Bint!
You lot are inspiring me to get some more houseplants. I used to have loads until the kids came along when they got very neglected and died. I think I could manage to keep them alive now.

I have had cacti weirdly melt on me before.
And I have killed every Maidenhair Fern I have ever had (usually within weeks)

Thanks, SarahWoo.

She is growing really well. Lots of lovely new green leaves since I got her about 3 weeks ago. I did try to untangle her strands but it was trickier than Christmas light unravelling and she seems to be thriving in her tangled state :-)

Cacti! I can't believe I haven't posted a pic yet of this lil fella!

I bought him on a stall last year at the Elmore 7 (my fave local race, incorporating a flower and produce show). Doesn't matter how much we water him though, he never seems to grow...

I've had an aloe for years, and passed on many of its babies to other people, but I've never encountered weird melting. Nor even plain ordinary melting.

This was super weird melting... I'm fairly sure I took a picture of the remains, let me have a look...

Here we go

It was good 25cm tall from the outermost to innermost leaves, then from one day to the next it melted, this sad little heap was barely 5cm high.

Ta-daaaah! The cactus (see page 2 of thread) has now produced two flowers at the same time. Maybe its just a late developer.

When we bought out house the old owners left an old rusting wheelbarrow. Today I converted it into a succulent garden.
