I met RMo3B last year she is in St Neots.
Boat is sea going but we are sticking with rivers… husband keeps threatening otherwise but he’s going solo if he does 😂

Am I right in thinking an elevated RHR like the one you're noticing gg is down to lack of recovery/physical tiredness? Hope you're getting back to normal 51 ish now though. What a nice run near the sea LL and your 18 miler is "up there" FF... not long til your marathon now. In a way it's good that you've been able to identify a "last" marathon hs rather than drag out the vague "when". Your lower miles will still be considerably more than mine! Goodness knows where my miles are heading.😂 Meant to get out early this morning but didn't feel right and am light headed! Think I've got a dose of hypochondria and need to buck up. Thanks all for words about my tests.

If you can get to Wisbech you can go up the Nene to the Wash and into the Haven to Boston then through to Lincoln.

Thanks LL and GG, yesterday's run was really enjoyable. I took several photos, which unfortunately, I can't seem to post on here.
My marathon target was 15 Steve, so having achieved it, means I can reduce my weekly mileage, and hopefully concentrate more on improving pace for shorter races. Having said that I ran 38 miles last week, which I suppose is quite high. Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling up for a run this morning, and hope you soon feel better.
This mornings run was to the Monkswell, which was used many years ago by the Monks from Beaulie Abbey. It became something of a challenge, thanks to "yours truly!" We had run there before, and I had the course on my Garmin. Just 6.4 miles, so should have been quite easy. However, when we arrived at a certain gate, which we had climbed over previously, it was now protected by barbed wire above and below the gate, and also over the fencing either side. The others were able to work their way over the gate, but I couldn't, so they climbed back, and we had to find another course. We eventually found our way to the Monkswell, and then got a bit lost on the way back, eventually running 16k (9.94 miles). In my defence, I'm 13 years older than the next eldest, and 33 years older than the youngest! They are all ladies, so I felt a bit embarrassed that they negotiated the gate and I couldn't. ☺️

That looks like an interesting run hs and nice and sunny too. Perfect (apart from barbed wire)
